The other day I met a lovely lady who stopped by the shop, I didn’t get her name at the time but had a great chat with her while she looked around the store. She mentioned that she was an artist and was on a short vacation from her home in San Diego, California. Yesterday, after we received a special “thank you” to Owens &  Co. on Twitter I finally connected the dots and realized my super-friendly shopper was the totally talented, Susie Ghahremani. Susie is an indie illustrator and product designer with the most adorable art pieces and animal-inspired goodies. I was doubly surprised when I realized that I had placed an order for some of her products through Chronicle Books the morning of the day I met her. I’d have to say it was a wonderfully weird coincidence! Susie’s stationary should be in the shop within a couple of weeks, in the meantime you can covet her cute creations here.
