Brooklyn Beauty

We’re absolutely swooning over this glorious remodel of a historic Clinton Hill, Brooklyn brownstone seen on Remodelista. Owners Jessica and Doug Warren worked with Neuhaus Design to restore their 19th century mansion to it’s original splendor. The best part about the brownstone is, the couple has turned it into a bed and breakfast. You can spend the night, and enjoy a homemade breakfast in this stunning abode. A Succ-essful Event

We had a delightful time last weekend when Mary Pat Wentz from Lanikai Pot & Plant taught us how to green-up our thumbs during our first-ever “I Heart Succulents” event. We learned how to care for our little green friends and even potted our own arrangements to take home.

A special thanks goes out to Steve Czerniak who attended the event, and shot these fantastic photos for us. Steve is an extremely talented pet photographer who owns Wag And Snap Photography, check out Steve’s website and adorable animal picsĀ here.

Sit, Stay.

I think we’ve found the perfect gift for the dog lover who has everything! These custom oil portraits from artist Valerie Leonard are masterpieces reserved solely for pets of distinction. She’s happy to paint your pooch or feline as a lord or lady, count or commoner. These works are not cheap and start at $800 per commission, but there is no doubt they are priceless conversation pieces. For more information please visitĀ www.dutchtouchart.com.

A Knife for the Heart

In an age where so much of what we buy is mass produced, it’s refreshing to see that quality craftsmanship can still thrive. These knives by Laguiole have always caught my eye, and not for the fact that they’re beautiful to look at, but that each one is expertly made. We’re currently stocking a sets of colorful cheese and steak knives.
