One of my recent “color crushes” has been on just about any shade of coral. I think it’s an uplifting, versatile, and very fun color, especially for summer. I was delighted to find a wonderful dose of of coral in this Birmingham, Alabama kitchen that was recently featured in Southern Living magazine. Lindsey Ellis Beatty, who is the decorating editor at the magazine, was the creative genius behind the kitchen remodel of her 1930s cottage. I’m absolutely in love with her herringbone marble backsplash and her “greige” cabinets. Beatty’s mix of fabrics, art, and furniture really finish the room and make it one of my current favorites.
