Okay, so I just got an email from the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs with a flyer for their Summer School weekend getaway. Oh man, I want to go soooooo badly. If I’m lucky I’ll make it to LA for the gift show that weekend, but making it out to Palm Springs is a long shot given that my jaunt to California will just be for the weekend. I’ve been dying to stay at this 1965 Howard Johnson-turned-too-cool-for-school-hipster get-away ever since they opened. I heard they serve the most amazing breakfasts and even allow doggies as guests, does it get any better than that? I think not!
