Sit, Stay.

I think we’ve found the perfect gift for the dog lover who has everything! These custom oil portraits from artist Valerie Leonard are masterpieces reserved solely for pets of distinction. She’s happy to paint your pooch or feline as a lord or lady, count or commoner. These works are not cheap and start at $800 per commission, but there is no doubt they are priceless conversation pieces. For more information please visit www.dutchtouchart.com.

A Knife for the Heart

In an age where so much of what we buy is mass produced, it’s refreshing to see that quality craftsmanship can still thrive. These knives by Laguiole have always caught my eye, and not for the fact that they’re beautiful to look at, but that each one is expertly made. We’re currently stocking a sets of colorful cheese and steak knives.

The Cleanest Bar Downtown

Isn't it time you got clean?

It’s 2 am on a Saturday night and you’ve just stumbled out of Bar 35. Your ears are thumping. Hotel Street is swaying. And right now, amid the humid Honolulu night, with the smell of vodka thick in the air, the only thing you want is to get clean. To purge that wonderful seediness of a night spent downtown from your body. To start tomorrow fresh. But here’s the catch: you don’t have to leave downtown to get clean. In fact, there’s a bar downtown that specializes in this kind of thing and it’s right there on the corner. May we introduce you to the first collaboration between Owens & Co. and The Human Imagination, a limited-edition unisex soap?

Hand-poured in Seattle and designed in Honolulu, our collaborative soap is undeniably the cleanest bar downtown. After selling through our first run during the holidays, we’ve restocked and this one-of-a-kind soap is now back on our shelves, yearning to get you clean.

Conde Nast Traveler Is Sweet On Us

ImageAlthough we’re not huge fans of shameless self-promotion, we just had to share the news that in a recent online column of Conde Nast Traveler, Owens & Co. was voted the number one place to shop in Honolulu by their editor at large, Hanya Yanagihara. Now we know that the column wasn’t pitting us against major retailers, but we’re honored to say the least.

On a closing note, we’d like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who supported us in 2011. Our maiden year was just the beginning; look out 2012, cause we’ve got some big plans in the works.
